Troop 127 Heads to Philmont

For 62 years, BSA Troop 127 has served boys from ages 11-18 in the greater Pottstown region teaching them life skills, values, ethical decision-making, and developing them into young leaders.  Annually, the troop carries out community service projects, outdoor excursions, career-development programs, and fundraisers to teach the Scouts how to earn their own way.  In the summer of 2026, Scouts will have the opportunity to embark upon a high adventure excursion to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, the first of its kind for Troop 127.  This excursion will be challenging mentally and physically, and it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many of our Scouts!

As the Philmont Crew prepares for this exciting trip, we kindly request support from the local community to help make this trip possible for the Scouts.  Trip expenses include airfare, van rental, Philmont Trek activities fees, and equipment expenses.
